Style From San Francisco
Going West is a style/fashion blog by Jennie Lodge in San Francisco, California. Going West originally started as a personal blog of Jennie’s, and later transitioned into a digital record of her fabulous style and outfits! She is a trendsetter with an eye for fashion, and she was kind enough to share with Glamonomics, a little bit about her personal style!
1. How would you describe your style?
I would describe my personal style as very simple, yet it defines me. I’ll incorporate classics, trends, and statements, but I do it in a more subdued way. I think I’ll always have a rock and roll influence, but I am noticing the California aesthetic creeping in.
2. Who is your celebrity style icon?
I’ll always love Kate Moss. I’m a fan of classic rock and glam rock, and I think she takes these styles and menswear, simplifies them yet makes a statement. She’s edgy yet classic.
3. Favorite places to shop?
I love to go thrifting when I visit my hometown in Iowa. But here in SF, I like to shop at Wasteland, Mira Mira, Crossroads Trading Co, and the usual Union Square spots: Aritzia, H&M, Zara, and Forever21. Sometimes I will give into online shopping impulses…
4. The one fashion item you can’t live with out
I can’t live without a leather jacket. I can wear anything, but it’s not “me” until I put a leather jacket over it. It’s always the finishing touch.
